When I’m already old and gray. I'll remember all the college parties I attended. I’ll remember the first time I got drunk during our sleepover. I’ll remember the late-night talks by the beach. I’ll remember the first time I tasted alcohol and the secrets my friends told me. I’ll remember all of my shenanigans that made people around me burst out in laughter.

When I’m old and senile. I’ll remember the first guy I had the courage to flirt with. I’ll remember how he made my heart flutter. I’ll remember his sweet words and how we parted ways. I’ll remember him as my first love and heartbreak.

I’ll remember the places my friends and I traveled to. I’ll remember them with a smile etched on my face. I’ll remember the people who made me feel I was loved and belonged. I’ll remember all of my favorite Taylor Swift songs and sing them again with great zeal.

When I’m already old. When I already can’t walk. I’ll show my grandchildren the photos of me and how I had a remarkable youth. I’ll tell them how glad I was to meet people I’ve grown old with. The people who made this my life teeming with memories. I’ll remember their smiles, the sound of our laughter, and most of all… their stories. I’ll tell them about my incredible parents and the lessons they taught me. I’ll tell them about our family dog that I named Meredith.

When I grow old, I’ll never have this regret for I know I did everything to live. I might run out of money but I never wasted time. I might live broke but I’d die with million memories. I’ll tell them time can never be earned for it is fleeting. When I grow old, I’ll be glad that I exist.
